Run to ground by katie ruggle5/27/2023 There were some weird situations that occurred that weren’t really explained away, not even after the plot was revealed so I have to say, this book is not my favorite of the few I’ve read from KR. Almost, like, there’s no one else around, might as well get with this person. It’s just kind of there and feels almost forced. Jules and Theo have chemistry but it’s nothing to write home about. They fear anyone coming into their little bubble and definitely fear the handsome cop whom has taking a liking to their older sister. Their relationship was strong and supportive and challenging at certain moments. I have to say that I fell in love with the lead female and her siblings from the beginning. Meanwhile, the lead male is dealing with the loss of his K9 partner and is breaking in his former human partner’s (whom has also died) K9 partner and both surviving officers are not in the right frame of mind. So it starts off with a great escape and then there is a constant worry about the consequences of such escape the entire book.
